Enjoy Hiroshima with your family and friends from Your Home Country! ~ 1st My OMOTENASHI Contest ~

What would you like to experience with your family and friends from your home country if they come to Japan? It can be experiences such as enjoying together the famous Sakura (cherry blossom) or even them participating in your graduation ceremony; why don’t you present about that?

For those who present strong feelings of "OMOTENASHI"* to their loved ones in their home country, we will provide a reward of up to 200,000 yen after the trip!

* “Omotenashi” is a Japanese concept essentially about hospitality. It captures the way in which the hosts pay attention to every detail and anticipate their guests' needs, aiming for the greatest experience possible for them.

Purpose of Implementation

The "My OMOTENASHI Contest" encourages foreign residents of Higashi-Hiroshima City to take the initiative to learn about tourist spots and recommend the area to their family and friends in their home countries. The contest aims to promote the concept VFR (Visiting Friends and Relatives) using Hiroshima Airport flights.

Eligibility

Foreigners residing or commuting to Higashi Hiroshima City

*Submission of a copy of documents that can be verified is required at the time of the secondary screening.

Reward Contents

★Grand Prize (1 person) 200,000 yen worth

★Excellent Prize (1 person) 100,000 yen worth

★Judge's Prize (3 people) 30,000 yen worth

Application and Selection Process

①Document screening

Please fill in the necessary information in the application form below and submit it.

*The input language will be Japanese or English. If you answer in any other language, it will not be considered for selection.

②My OMOTENASHI Presentation Tournament

* The presentation evaluation will be based on the content submitted in the document screening. The grand prize, excellent prize, and judge's prize will be awarded in order of the highest evaluation value that meets the selection criteria.

* The venue is equipped with a PC, projector, screen, speakers, and microphone.

* If you have PowerPoint or video data to use in the presentation, please send it by email (dehinfo@east-hiroshima.info) by 12:00 pm on December 15 (Friday). On the day, USB insertion, etc., will not be allowed due to PC virus protection, etc.

* All transportation expenses to MIRAI CREA will be borne by the applicants themselves.

Selection Criteria

* After submitting the application form, a certain number of bonus points will be added to the evaluation value of those who responded to the survey in 2022.

* There are no bonus or penalty points based on the language (Japanese or English) used in the document screening and presentation tournament.

Please be sure to read the following notes and apply only after agreeing.

Reward Eligibility Conditions

- It must be a trip completed within the Reiwa 5th year (until March 31, 2024).

- The total amount of the following services received by one or more individuals in Hiroshima Prefecture is eligible for reward. Accommodation expenses, food and beverage expenses, and tourist spot expenses (admission fees, experience fees, etc.) *Airfare is not included.

- Please post on social networking services (including photos) in at least three places that show that you are experiencing the above services with your family or friends. Submission is required at the time of reward after the trip is completed.

- To pay the applicable amount, proof of payment such as the above receipt must be submitted.

- If a discount or other system is used, the amount after the discount will be the subject of reward.

- If the eligible amount is less than the reward limit, the difference cannot be paid.

- Even if the itinerary and travel destination have changed from the presentation contents at the time of the contest, they will be eligible for reward if they meet the above conditions.

Other Notes

- Reward will be paid in Japanese yen by bank transfer to the designated account in Japan. If you do not have a bank account, we will consult with you separately.

- Inquiries about the selection results will not be accepted.

- This project does not support family members or others planning to come to Japan to obtain passports or visas.

- Transfer or sale to third parties is not allowed, and only the person in question can apply for the reward.

- The appearance at the secondary screening and the photographs taken during the experience of the compensable services may be published on TV broadcasts, newspapers, and other media by the organizers or on the printed materials or websites and SNS of the Hiroshima Airport and Discover East Hiroshima.

- Copy of air ticket

- Proof of payment (receipts from hotels, restaurants, etc.)

- SNS postings or photo data of the compensated service experience.
