Every year from the end of March to the beginning of April, Shofukuji yama Park, located on a small hill facing the SETOUCHI, is a place where you can enjoy a cherry blossom landscape that cannot be fully described by photographs or paintings, and it will impress the hearts of visitors.

In addition, you can enjoy the cherry blossoms at night at Shofukuji yama Park, and you will be able to spend a special time with the character "万(ten thousand)" lit up on the mountain that you can see on the opposite bank.

(Akitsu Town, where Shofukuji yama Park is located, has two poems set in Akitsu in the Manyoshu(万葉集), Japan's oldest collection of poems. For that reason, the mountain is illuminated with " ten thousand " characters, which are the initials of Manyoshu.)
